Ok ok I get it. I neglect my blog. I am more into posting my crazy life on Instagram then on here but apparently my BFF date is being held hostage until I post about our awesome vacation.
But FIRST I get to show what we have been up to since then!
early breakfast dates before soccer.
It was too hot for the league so they cancelled Mila's first game. Which I think was dumb. It's the summertime what do you expect? They only play for 40 minutes..c'mon chickens! Elk Grove runs much different than Sac does that's for sure!
love catching moments like this with Damian
another kiddo who is getting to be near sighted :( Fortunately we can hold off for awhile with him. At least until he can get contacts
loving my IG and YT peeps! Got this happy mail the other day and it's all for my addiction to my Filofax
Max is into making his schedule. Love it. #5 is the best :)
Our ABA therapy company had their annual Day in the Park for the families. We always have such a fun time there. I am so blessed to have such great people in our lives that want the same thingfor our kids as we do.
OK so on to DISNEYLAND!!!
I don't want to bombard everyone with our pictures so I picked my fave ones!
I have to start off by saying having Jamie and Ricardo come with us was the best decision I made for US and THEM lol! Not only did we have seasoned Disney fans with us we had the most generous, amazing and cray cray people join our big family on our first big vacation. They made it more fun for all of us, were game for anything we wanted to do, we even swapped husbands for 5 minutes and Ricardo and I had our first misunderstanding as a 5 minute married couple. I know you are reading this so thank you again for coming along with us and we all love you both so much.
Oh and you are coming again in 2 years...bwahahahaha!!
When we found out we could get guest assistance passes to get us in quickly I didn't realize just how lifesaving they were. We went in through the exit in most rides and bypassed hours of waiting. Even Jamie and Ricardo were amazed. Thank you Disney for accommodating families like ours.
This picture right here sums up how happy we all were on this trip. This picture is one of my favorite shots of my kids ever and it should be on a poster advertising for Disney!
Minnie was planting huge kisses on Brandon and he was dying lol! Then she made her way around to the other boys for kisses and then had a conversation with Mila about colors.
on our way!
are we there yet???
the kids were actually great car ride companions. No complaining at all. Buying the car DVD players for the seats was a huge lifesaver. I took them DVD shopping the day before so they could have a few new movies.
pit stop for lunch and gassin' up! Already getting the looks from someone! YES I took pics of y'all eating!
the first night we strolled through Downtown Disney and had a character dinner that cost..well let's just say Goofy almost had to scrape me up off the floor.
visited the Lego store and the kids built their own cars to race
Love how Max is looking up at Goofy in awe :)
Troy, Eric
and Brandon celebrated their birthdays there and got free dessert and buttons to wear. Everytime we passed an employee in the park they would greet them by name and say happy bday. I love the peeps there!
We also met Chip and Belle.
It was a long drive and a long night. We ended up going swimming at the hotel in the freezing weather but the kids still loved it..blue lips and all.
our awesome hotel
the elevator ride was always the highlight of the day
the best free breakfast ever in a hotel. Cooked to order omelets, pastries, oatmeal bar, Damian's favorite taters and endless decaf. Having that every morning saved alotta moola!
off to CA Adventure!
the BEST ride there. We went on it more times in one day then most people do their whole visit there.
Having those guest assistance passes were a dream.
When Max saw the lifesize cars from the movie come down the street he was in heaven
this was the worst ride as you can tell by my face
and by the time we got it to move the thing was over!
Cars Land was ah-mazing!!!!
We came back at night and it was awesome to see it all lit up and ride in the night!
the girls took off to have some Princess time and Mila found her first goodie to buy
meanwhile the guys got to meet Mickey
Indiana Jones ride was a huge hit with them. The rides there can be pretty fast and bumpy and my kids were all troopers
stuck behind poor Brandon. The pedal in the car was too hard for him to push so he backed us all up on the track but the employees were so sweet to him and helped him right away
poor guy was scared but felt much better after his cotton candy and Mama calming down after realizing I left my phone on the Matterhorn!!! After crying my eyes out Troy ran over to the ride and they had it!!! I swear Disneyland brings the best out in people
my goofball
the only regret I had was making everyone go on the Tower of Terror.
Even some of us adults were hesitant. It was just plain mean and I felt so bad afterwards. I didn't know it was that bad! B has a sensitive tummy and this ride was a tad too much for him. But he jumped on Star Tours like it was no biggie
The Toy Story ride was a fave of Max's
Disneyland was open for 24 hours that Friday and at 1 we let Eric with the kids and the 4 of us took those passes and went on all the fun rides again! Space Mountain is my fave ride and it was so fun going on at 1 a.m!!
Mom and Dad went shopping for ourselves and it was like we never left home. I found dolls on my shoulders like I always do on my dates with Jamie. It never fails.
some of our shots from the rides!
we were all sad to go but Damian and I were the ones who actually cried :( I have been waiting for years to take them and this age was the perfect time. No one left behind, no one too little or scared for rides. It was the best vacation I have ever been on and the memories are wonderful.
I'm working on my Disney album and I love looking at all the pictures over and over and thumbing through all the memorabilia I kept. I love documenting our lives and knowing that I will have all these books for our kids and their kids and so on.
I already told Jamie we were saving for our next trip when Damian graduates 8th grade.
I am looking forward to those memories as well.
But better finish this book first!
