I'm exhausted. Mentally drained. Advocating and fighting for your child is hard stuff! I'm dealing with Damian and the Special Education Dept. to get more testing for him which looks good so far. I love his teacher and she is so on board with everything and all of my concerns.
Max went to Jabbergym for his evaluation and he will receive O.T. through them until he turns 3. Then he'll probably go into a preschool type setting like Damian did in Elk Grove though. Troy and I agreed that having 2 children with special needs will be a rough road ahead and we'll face many challenges I'm sure. But one thing for sure is that we both want what is best for not only them but for the rest of the kids and we'll do everything in our power to help them function socially, academically and so forth. It's our job to do this. I've become so involved in Damian's education and milking the system for what I can in terms of helping him. I recenlt joined a support group for children with special needs as well.
God sure is testing me! But I know that HE knows I can do it so I know I can!
Just some random shots! Damian got an award for Outstanding Citizenship at school as well.
