I have never heard the words Grandma and Grandpa so much in my life! The kids were so excited they were here and fought for their attention the whole time. even when the electricity went out on our block with the lasagna in the oven!!
The only candle I had was my Jesus candle. He lit the dining room and that was it. Thank you Jesus.
before the outage
After the outage..falling asleep
showing Grandma his DS skills
along with his Guitar Hero skills. Him and Damian played their hearts out for them both!
oh my..they will break hearts some day. I LOVE this shot.
proves how short I am. We can't show Eric this picture, he was in school and missed breakfast.

Now about the little old lady!
We were quietly waiting for our food in the farthest corner booth we could get our hands on. I had already prepared for screaming and boredom. Nope.
So this older woman is approaching our table and I'm thinking " WHAT?" Nice huh?
Well she asked who the parents were and I seriously was going to point to my in-laws. Scared at this point.
She told me that she saw us come in and she wanted to let us know that we were doing a wonderful job and our kids are so well behaved. HUH?? Mine?? Are you sure??
She said to enjoy them and job well done.
MADE.MY.YEAR.
why would I doubt my little ones? I felt so bad thinking she was gonna rip into me! They actually were very good. Then she left and Mila and Max were fighting over who was going to stir my iced tea.
Grrrrr old lady!!!
I wished upon her a loud table of children on her next trip to a restaurant. Ok I took it back because she flashed a huge grin at me.
So thank you stranger for reminding me how wonderful my kids really are if I just sit back, breathe and enjoy them.
