how to burn your thumbs

That is exactly what I have been doing. Making clips and burning thumbs.

I have really been into the vintage look when it comes to clips and bows for Mila's hair. I was tired of the loopy bows so I started making other clips for her and I love them!

Enter the burning part...

I made the blue ones for the little girls next door. School colors!

I like the way the rose looks like it's well..dying?

And one I wore yesterday!

My grandmother gave me some sewing items she had from years ago and I got a little bag of lace. Perfect touch!

Jamie told me a while ago I should find another hobby. Like the hundreds of dollars spent in sewing and the THOUSANDS I'm sure in scrapbooking wasn't enough!

I think I found it. Darnit. Don't tell Troy.

I really love the look of this black one. The lace really makes it look totally vintage and cute. Totally worth the burns, hehe
The girls love their hairbows as well. Joce wore hers to school yesterday and still came home with it so I'm assuming that it was not only really fashionable but also comfy. That was officially her first hairbow that she wore without jerking it out; immediately. Kinda sad to say but it's the truth. I think we may be onto something here. My little sensitive girl wearing a hairbow, wow :) I would love to make them with you too.
