Last night was Eric's scholarship dinner. He won his first scholarship and it was his first application! We were so proud of him and it really showed him he can do this and keep going!
There were only 7 recipients of the scholarships and Eric's best bud got the other one from CKM. You could only bring one guest so I'm thinking small dinner right?
Nope. It was the company's holiday party too I think. There was alot of people there to congratulate him. And for me to stare at.
They had a buffet dinner which both Eric and I could not indulge in. They were nice enough to make steamed greens with no butter. But we found a few items we could eat and then I made a CJ's run for him after :)
The dessert table came out and same thing. No fruit for us. Just sweet yummy delicacies. We sat it out.
I did not cry. I did grin from ear to ear though. To see Eric walk up there and get his award was bittersweet. I miss my little Eric but then I see him grown up and responsible and I am excited for him for the years to come. He worked hard to get where he is. It showed tonight when they presented it to him.

Me and my baby! I'd like to point out that I am NOT hooked up to my line! I go into more detail on my other blog but I am weaning off of it this weekend and if all goes well it's getting pulled Monday. Aggh! Scared.
So Eric is on his way to preparing for his college years by making it lighter on our wallets! Thank you Eric for thinking of us! So proud of you.
