bittersweet day

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for me.

My Auntie Nita whom I adore and loved seeing every time she was in town passed away yesterday. I got to see her before she passed and for that I am grateful.

That night I saw aunts and cousins I have not seen in a very long time. It was like we were never apart. The laughter, the stories, the humor, which I like to think I got from them, was all there as usual. I didn't wanna leave :) I could feel the love for our family in that room.

We promised to stay in touch and I feel so blessed to have them.

I will miss her with all my heart and this reminds me of how precious life is and how much I missed them all.

The day of my wedding

I wanted to just stay in the house all day but yesterday we were going out to Gibson Ranch with Troy and his family. I knew being around family would help me and it did. Seeing the kids running around playing soccer and frisbee was priceless.

Feeding the ducks was their favorite. Except for the greedy huge geese that Troy nudged hard softly every time they came near almost nipping my kid's fingers. Damian would just throw the bread and yell " Here take it!!" while running.

I got so caught up in catching up with family that I didn't get shots of Eric as usual! He was off with his cousin A.J. who is only a year younger. Finally someone over the age of 10 to talk to!

I love my family.

Thats so funny about the geese. We had crazy geese in WV too. They lived by the river and one day I went by myself to have a peanut butter and jelly picnic with the kids and at the covered benches and those things where hissing at us. They scared the kids really bad. But there was a no feeding the ducks sign there so I guess they where probally starving. Mean old geese! We retreated to the car to eat, lol.

I can just see Damian doing that and it made me laugh and smile. Gotta love him for that!

Glad you got to have a great weekend, great pics and I love your family too!
