he never ceases to scare the crap outta me

My day and night yesterday was definitely not the quiet and relaxing day I had hoped for.

Max and Mila were hangin' out in my room with me while I attempted to make Mila's party invites. Guess the Party City Strawberry Shortcake invites weren't good enough!

Max was laying on the floor in front of our old school-box-heavy-as-hell 22 inch TV on top of our dresser. The one that is waiting to be replaced with a flat screen like normal people. The TV that has caused problems for us before.

So visualize that big ass thing almost 4 feet from the ground crashing down on my 5 year old's face. Dresser and all..tipped over onto him.

I saw the whole thing and it haunts me still.

I screamed bloody murder for Eric and he got Mila out of the room after prying the dresser off of him. I could barely move that TV that's how heavy it is. A box people!!!

It was by the grace of God that this baby of mine was not crushed. Seriously a miracle and God was watching over him.

He had a blood curdling scream and a huge bump on his forehead. The nurse talked everything through with me after 20 minutes of crying and falling asleep. After that he was up and moving.

But the swelling was getting worse to me and I was afraid there was something going on that we couldn't see.

He is walking, talking acting like his normal crazy self and that was a good sign all along. Never blacked out, never vomited, signs that something was bad.

Troy explained all the things that happened to him after his head injury and it is nothing like Max was acting. Troy had to have surgery his was so bad and concave.

Showing off his ER band that he will not take off. He gets out of it because his name on there.

The swelling has gone down alot but is now spreading to over his eye and nose.

My poor Maxie. He really is hard headed! hahaha! Ok corny.

OMG! I can just imagine that happening too at our house. It's honestly one of my worst fears too that the old box one we have up stairs will do the same thing. Not off 4 feet but still, it would hurt!

Poor Max. I'm glad you had Troy there to give you good advice. I would be freaking too. Good job Eric on the save! God was watching over him yesterday as always. Hmm makes me wonder about what I can do to solve the same situation.
Hang in there !
