a swimming frenzy!

I never knew my kids would take to swimming as much as they do. I mean they LOVE the water. Could stay in it all day until they pruned up. Like old man skin as Brandon would say.

Damian and Brandon finished up their lessons already and Max and Mila have another week to go. I may sign them up again for the next session just so we get more practice before lessons next summer.

We've been practicing and going to my grandparent's pool which means I get to dive in and enjoy the water too! And not feel like a beached whale.

The first day of swimming was a fun filled day of anxiety and close encounters of passing out. For me that is. Troy was nervous too but I was literally sweating and panting on that seat.

Mila tried getting into the water by herself and went under up to her nose. That did it. OVER.

She cried the ENTIRE time. Screamed in that poor guy's arms. But on the ride home she insisted on going back and trying it again. Boy did she.

The other kids were great. Max still isn't a fan of water on his face but jumped in finally.

Brandon is another kid that would rather keep his face out of the water for now.

Damian loves the water and was the first to put his whole face and head in!

NOW....Mila is my water baby. Face all the way in, blowing bubbles, almost floating, jumping in like crazy!

I am so glad we did this for them. I owe it to them to be safe around water and to be able to enjoy swimming. It will take awhile I'm sure for them to get it down but being in water with NO rings or floaties and not being anxious is so nice for all of us.

They are growing up so fast and we are really enjoying them right now learning new things, believing in themselves and this new schedule and rules in our home has really brought us together as a team and it is pure bliss. I never thought I could bring order to my home so to speak and cut down drastically on boredom, whining and fighting! God had a hand in that I'm sure.

That little white speck in the middle would be my Maxie. The wall is his friend until the teacher comes around for him.

She was the first to jump in out of all her brothers. This is her favorite thing to do now. Arms up and legs flying into Troy's arms. Fearless.

I had to blow this up so we all can see just how hard Damian works to get those legs up and kickin!

.................

Yesterday Troy and I got to get away for awhile (even though YES we went to the 11:00 pm showing of Harry Potter on Thursday with only 9 other people in there including a baby!), then we went swimming with the kids and had a nice BBQ at my Dad's. My new favorite thing is salmon on the barbie. Yum!! A very fun and relaxing Saturday for once. We have such a busy schedule during the week so this was nice for all of us.

Yep. Got my Eric to go. He never passes up swimming and has been hanging with his fam lately which I always love.

Please ignore the chlorine soaked flat hair. When I let my hair dry naturally my big ol curls and frizzy hair underneath shine through. That's what happens when your hair falls out and grows back in. I mean I have some KINKY curls!

We went home, got dressed and then headed to my Dad's.

Max had to get in on the action as well

Telling Papa about swimming in full detail

Being goofy as usual

My eye candy for the day :)

Life is good.
