My runway night!

I know everyone is waiting for my fashion show debut shots. I'm still gathering pics from people that shared the night with me. But I thought what the heck..I will post what I've got and carry on. I like to post about the kids and the family..not me :)

But I do have to say I had alot of fun. Behind the scenes was a blast. It was fun getting ready and being pampered along with the men and women who have been down the same path as me. The same people who have a lifetime journey just like mine.

We shared stories of the post-op days, struggles we have, plastic surgery plus the scars and an overall understanding of each other. I was the "youngest" post op. One of the guys had his surgery around mine as well. The woman who was 4 years out with the tummy tuck was very inspiring. I can't wait til that is me!

I got real nervous a few minutes before I had to go out and they were all calming me down telling me this was my time to shine and to own it. Jamie echoed encouraging words as well when I was tired of trying on clothes at Fashion Bug. All of my family and friends have always been encouraging through this whole thing.

It was nice hearing I was the best looking one there that night ;)

I had to give permission for the surgeon's office to use my photos in their newsletters and media. Yikes! Of course I said Yes!

I have to thank Ricardo for taking over the camera duties while Troy filmed it. It is clearly my fault that some of the photos are blurry. He captured shots I love.

My casual outfit. I ended up buying the sexy purple shirt!

Troy surprised me by standing up and giving me the flowers. I'm so glad Ricardo got this shot even if my BIG photo is on the screen in the background.

My business outfit that my grandmother said she liked alot :)

The famous black dress. Troy made me buy this. The look on his face that night was priceless. He kept staring at me even when my feet felt like they were about to fall off.

I had to stop myself from laughing at the song that played when I walked out in the dress. My ring tone and the song everyone makes fun of...Rhianna's Love in a Homeless Place!!

The girl next to me, Megan, was my buddy all night. I met her the day we had our fitting. We're going to stay in touch which will be nice.

They had raffled off so many good prizes! My aunt Kim won a skin treatment she wanted.

my flowers :)

The single rose is from my surgeon who handed it to me during the black dress run. I was thinking who was this man giving me a rose?? Oh!!! The man I saw maybe 3 times during the whole surgery ordeal!! Ok I'll stop.
It was nice to see him there.

I had alot of fun and I feel honored they asked me to be in it. They told me that they ask patients to come back again as the years go on. Well I hope they ask AFTER I get my plastics!!

Congratulations Marisa! We were all so proud of you that night! You were the prettiest one up there we all agreed. You had quite a journey to get there and your Dad and I shared every step with you that we could. Thank goodness for Troy to be there for you. You went through it with such grace, courage, and strength. We love you so much and are forever proud of you. Such beauty - inside and out.
Love, Mom.
