one day at a time

Those were the words from my bestie this morning.

Very true too.

We survived our trip to SF and it confirmed my reasons to never ever live there. Driving around town is like being on a roller coaster. You knew we were out of towners by the screams and giggles coming from our car!

We were late of course so headed to valet which was oh so nice. Only in SF will I take valet parking.

Great team of specialists. Great info and advice. Just alot to take in. Promising news, wonderful long term outcomes.

Just another path woven into our journey and that's okay. School starts up in Feb and I have my work cut out for me as far as testing him in school. I think we all know how that will go because Max is doing so well academically. But I will put the gloves on lol!

So now it's time to MOVE ON and focus on what we CAN control and our attitude about it.

We are ready as a family :)

Here's a peek into our week so far!

Up at 5:30 a.m to open a few presents before the trip.
Good practice for our Disneyland trip!

They have a nice room for families who are waiting. Computers, books, movies to choose from..the kids were very entertained.

I went back with Max for the majority of it all and watched some of the testing like I did with Damian. It's behind a window where they can't see us and I swear my kids know I am there!

The plan was Incredible John's Pizza on the way home but the one in Stockton was shut down and Mom didn't think to check until we were already headed there!

Too far away to go to the Roseville one so Chuck E Cheese it is!

Last night my parents came by and Max got to open some more gifts. It is full on Pokemon mode over here which floods back memories of when Eric was little.

Except my 19 yr old is still into the games and watching him, Brandon and Max battle on their DS's and trade Pokemon is hilarious.

My most favorite picture of the night.

The bond between all of my kids is strong but last night Damian made it a point to be extra close to his birthday brother. That's huge for a child with autism. Damian is opposite of the stereo type of typical kids on the spectrum.

He is very loving, wants to hug and touch you as much as he can as does Max. They will crawl into my lap all day.

Brandon making a shot at the Globetrotters event

Only my kids would find more uses with Mama's jars of ribbon

Max has been building Pokeballs in his Minecraft world. He amazes me on this thing. His eye hand coordination, his imagination and creativity.

watching my poor car leaving us like it's a part of the family!

participating in lots of challenges on Youtube and having my second challenge giveaway! I have over 300 subbies!

visiting old parks we used to frequent years ago :)

we had Open House at the middle school Damian will be attending and it was a great night full of good information. We are confident this is the right school for him. He's pretty used to this gym, it's where his basketball games are most of the time.

stuck at home with a sick one today :( He's enjoying the pampering and movies!

Keep up the great work with your family. Continue to be brave and fight for what your family needs. Your efforts are evident in the closeness and love you all share. Your home is full of laughter and much joy. The kids could not have better parents than you two. Very proud, as always. God bless you all.
