November is here!

Damian has been counting down the days until his bday on the 30th. Big 'ol 8 year old! He has been begging me for a bowling party since he went to Kaylee's from his old class. So I called Country Club Lanes because they were better than Land Park lanes. So he gets his big bowling party with his classmates this year. Except it's on December 6th so he's a little mad about that.

Here's some pics from Halloween. Mila never particpates in the festivities! She wouldn't let me do her hair up and she wouldn't wear her wings for very long! We went to my Dad's neighborhood ( already missed the Pocket area!) and then our block does this big trick or treating shin-dig. Love this place already!!

Our little fairy posing as usual

The Star Was family plus a little bat thrown in

They had alot of fun and we actually stuck to the one piece of candy after dinner rule! But we have to toss some out before we're eating it for a year!

I've really been getting into the menu planning and healthier eating stuff. I always have planned meals since for ever but I'm investing in a magnetic calendar for the fridge instead of my paper menu which will be cheaper in the end. I subscribe to so many great blogs about frugal eating and healthier eating. I have to admit I've turned into one of those coupon cutters and budget planners. I love finding great deals on our staples and feeding the kids preservative free snacks.

Here's my list so far!

-Veggie Stix- they call them fries!

-Fruit leather

-Annie's brand of snacks..they have some at Costco I think? Free of dyes

-Cereal trail mix which is cheerios, dried fruit and mini choco chips

-Gorilla Munch cereal

-sweet potato cubes..Mila's fave right now! I just microwave slice open and cube!

I started WW again so this eating will help! I'm still learning and no I haven't gone alltree hugger as my husband calls it. But we feel it's our responsibility to feed our kids right and not poison there bodies with all the junk. We still have our faves don't get me wrong but I'm trying to make some more changes slowly.

I also am going to use the ol Crockpot much more as well. I have 2 different sizes and love some of these websites! You can make crayons, yogurt and Playdoh in them!!

Happy November!!!! xoxo
