I don't get to blog as much as I wish I could. I don't get to post photos of the things I've sewn for the kids or scrapbook pages I have done. I write down and carve out MOM time every week now. It's keeping me sane and keeps the house flowing like it should :)
The kids have so many activities and it is going to pick up in the next month big time. Damian has a little break from ACE over the summer but our ABA therapist will have us super busy to make up for it. Soccer season and swimming lessons pushes it over the edge for me.
I can't believe all the kids will be in school for once. Mila doesn't go everyday but to have her gone reminds me that they are growing up way too fast. I love that we will have Mama and Mila time while Max is in Kinder. She LOVES shopping with me and Troy is deathly afraid of that.
One thing I always have time for is taking pictures. I will never stop doing that no matter how busy I get.
The camera comes out mostly when the older kids are in school so most of pics are of Max and Mila. I do alot of crafty stuff with them and they love cooking with me so that's when the camera comes out!
We slowly recovered from our scary accident. He had some blackening around his eyes a few days later but he is back to his normal happy self.
This was right before it happened. These two are inseparable. Like an old married couple really! Fighting one minute, laughing another, chasing one minute, crying together. They will be lost, well Mila will, without each other once school starts.
We have been doing alot of cooking lately with them. They love cutting veggies and because of this our lunches are mainly stir fry's.
making sure it's tasty
They've been making homemade Hot Pockets too. I used to buy these for lunches but it was too costly because everyone liked different flavors and they would get wasted. So ham and cheddar is the top pick in our house. Max likes mustard in his. Who knew?
Mila and I snuck into Eric's room while he was in Disneyland. We just bought him a bigger bed so Mila and I could not resist. She insisted on feet shots.
Miss Ham. Lovin the camera lately.
Made super fast invites for Mila's Strawberry Shortcake party. I'm hoping we don't burn our butts in the bounce house!
My wonderful neighbor is always offering up her recipes to me. I swear I wanna just go over there one day and watch her cook! I headed out to the Japanese market and picked up some marinade for Char Siu, BBQ'd pork. It was so yummy! All the kids ate it, well Damian had pizza but that's a given.
Working on getting in more protein and balancing veggies and fruits. I fill the bigger bowl with about 3 ounces of protein and drop in tiny veggies with either hummus, Greek yogurt, a few almonds or olives and my vitamins. I usually have 4 little ones filled but Mila was playing with the tray of course. One day when I can eat more food I'll be getting this bento box for sure. For now it's the ugly but doable box.
I rearranged downstairs after Max's incident. I had to make sure every single item in my house was either bolted down or hung up. So I had to find homes for other pieces of furniture. My grandmother gave me her old sewing machine table and bench that held her Singer. I love it right behind the couch.
Yep this is me today. House is clean, laundry put away, to-do list checked off, kids quietly doing puzzles and dinner is simmering in the CrockPot. Relaxing for sure, I deserve it.
