I was in excruciating pain and not knowing what the heck was going to happen.
I was yelling at my Mom to stop talking and rightfully so.
I didn't realize at the time that I could've had some long 'ol needle in my back and it would have taken the pain away.
But I didn't get it.
I pushed out my 9 lb 12 ounce big ol Eric naturally and it was the best thing I had ever did.
Not the pushing..just the kid :)
Eric and I have grown up together to be quite honest. I was still a kid but overnight I became a mother and I have to pat myself on the back because for the medical issues Eric went through the first few years of his life...I was one determined Mother to take care of him and make him feel better.
It was that child and that time in my life that made me realize this was the most important thing I will ever do.
Eric and I have the strongest bond that I have ever seen between a mother and a 19 yr old.
Respectful, loving, considerate, smart, forgiving and an all around awesome young man. Hey he is still young to me.
I love you Joe.
With all my heart.
