Sitting up in my hospital bed getting fed my food through a catheter directly into me. Yum. The nausea is backing off a little and letting me breathe but it makes its presence known ever so quickly.
On my 3rd day here and I get to leave tomorrow I think. Then I get to bring my bagged food home with me and dine on it there for weeks. That should be pretty at Target. Or the grocery store. Well luckily I do it at night so my days are dedicated to my family only. And weekly runs to my fave stores.
I swear we have saved so much moola with me sick all the time unable to spend our money! That should change soon...
So I'm missing quite a bit of life events and daily duties.
-missed spending my 35th birthday out with Troy
-missed even more our 11 year anniversary out with Troy..but my present made up for it :)
-miss homework time, reading time, bath time, every single minute with my kids
-dinner. Cooking dinner for my family and serving them is something I looked forward to MOST nights. Hey I get tired too. Cutting up the little one's food, looking up new recipes for the next meal, sitting around and eating together and talking about our day.
-pumpkin picking! We still are going but I had plans to go earlier in the month to a certain fun new place. Getting the rest of the kid's costumes ready! That was my last outing, and it was tough.
-Hopefully NOT going to miss the assembly on the 1st at the kid's school. Damian earned his Accelerated Reader lanyard and it's a big thing at the school. They have lanyard days and they get treats for wearing them. It shows that he has met the first requirement for his reading!!! He worked so hard!!!! So proud of him and Brandon!
-missed shopping with Eric for homecoming. But since Eric only trusts his Mama's taste, he still sent the pics of the shirts and ties while shopping with Troy! That's always been our thing.
-last but not least, I miss kissing the kids and helping Troy tuck them in. Or after Troy brings them and then I say goodnight :)
I miss my husband. 2 weeks has turned into 6 weeks and he has been the absolute best through this all. He has taken care of these kids by himself for a month and a half. We're so grateful he has such an awesome job that is so understanding and knows Troy always puts family first.
I could never thank him enough. I know he wouldn't have it any other way.
If you're reading this babe..I love you.
Hope to see you all soon! I'm laying low for a few weeks until I get more strength.
