.... and I am an organizing junkie. I am not looking for help either.


So here is the finished product I teased about. Troy made a magnetic organizing board for me and the kids. We bought sheet metal and framed it in cut chair rail pieces and I went to town with black spray paint.

There are 4 sections for the youngin's. Each has M-F and what is going on for that day to remind me and them. It's also a place I hang invites, calendars, papers that need to be signed, etc.

We have soccer practices, ACE, lanyard days, homework due, field trips, snack day..you get the point.

We check it on the way out to school or the night before.

I LOVE this thing and it really saves me from wondering who has what, who has a birthday party, projects, etc. I wanted it above their individual coat and backpack hooks but it wouldn't fit :(


The day I was trying to finish this thing and print and cut and paste all the magnets, Mila and Max just HAD to join me as usual. They are the 2 that love to be by my side and "work" with me.

Max insisted on taking a pic of me next. I love it too, reminding me of how much I love to create.



As you can see on Mila's face, she wasn't too happy hen I begged them to go play in their room while I finished up.

Another organizing fix. Well this one is necessary.

Damian's ABA binder full of the lessons, goals and checklists I do everyday with him.

One of them is learning his phone number. Okay the kid has a phenomenal memory which is typical of kids on the spectrum so he got this in ONE run-through. Same with our address. I still need to collect data and track his progress daily though until he masters the goal.

This is his behavior checklist which is used to help regulate his behaviors and is the ticket to his prize. Dragonball Z Season 8. 100 checkmarks and it's his. This is working like you wouldn't believe.

His daily schedule board that he follows and crosses off as he completes it. I make a new one every night before bed and it's based off what we have going on throughout the day and night. Very flexible.

Piles of papers I fill out every day, positive reinforcements, mealtime rules, etc.

Speaking of mealtime rules, we are working on having all of them get 10 checkmarks to get their dessert. Right now we are at 7 and all the kids have exceeded that and have got their desserts. I dread the day someone gets 6!

They usually look excited about dessert but Brandon must have got a bad one.

I really enjoy seeing his progress and watching the behaviors slowly improve. Having things organized and a schedule really helps us all, especially Damian. Fitting in practices and A.C.E will be a challenge but we are up for it.

So my week has been running smoothly because of all of this.

On another note..Mila had Open House to meet her teacher and classmates. Troy and Max tagged along and I was cracking up every time I looked over to the cooking area and all the boys are playing with Max like he belonged there. Mila made a picture for the aide in her class and seemed to really enjoy being there. Cross your fingers!

Next week will be crazier. Soccer practices start and Troy is the assistant coach again! He coached for Eric's team and I am so happy he will be for Brandon too. Preschool starts as well.
